The Skinny

The Evenflo Vented + Glass is a simple tempered glass bottle that combines functionality and affordability. We like how easy it is to clean with only three pieces. Plus, the glass body will not retain color or odor. This bottle has no tricks or special features, but it gets the job done and lets you feed your baby with no leaks or issues. The vented nipple allows air in, so only milk flows out, and despite the small nipple mound, our baby tester had no trouble getting a good latch. Perhaps the most attractive aspect of this bottle is its cost, which is lower than most plastic bottles in our best baby bottle review.

Our favorite part of this Evenflo bottle is its glass body, a healthier material that brings peace of mind while feeding your baby. It is easy to clean and will not retain any odors or discolor. The nipple has a single vent that works well to funnel air into the bottle, relieving the pressure that could cause nipple collapse and allowing milk to flow freely from the nipple opening. Some parents also find that the funky twisted shape of the body makes it easier to keep a firm grip.

The narrow nipple mound is not a breastlike as many others in this review.

It is a breeze to clean with three parts, although you will need a bottle brush to fit in the narrow opening. We did not experience any leaks from this bottle, but the nipple cover fits on tightly with a satisfying snap to let you know it's secure. If there are any leaks, we feel confident they won't make it past the cap.

Compared to others, the Vented + Glass price per bottle is one of the most inexpensive. This price break is potentially the most attractive thing about this bottle for the budget-minded parent, possibly making up for the increased chance of breakage.

Dislikes

Even though we like the material, it is only tempered glass, which is weaker than the borosilicate type found in the other glass bottles we reviewed. So, while it is stronger than your average water glass, it is still more prone to breakage than other glass bottles and should be handled with care. There is also no sleeve for this bottle (even as an accessory), removing any opportunity for extra protection. The silicone and plastic components reflect the price, and users report that it does not take long for them to discolor or warp. However, replacement parts are readily available and not very expensive.

The nipple on the Evenflo has a narrow mound, which our tiny tester didn't mind but is something to consider for breastfed babies. It is not as breast-like as a bottle with a wide nipple mound, and some babies may struggle with the shape. The narrow mouth opening also means that a bottle brush is necessary and transferring liquids could be tricky.

The nipple cover is extra tight, which is useful when you want to catch leaks, but it is so tight that you may end up unscrewing the nipple by accident, so you need to double-check before feeding to avoid any spills. Last, the volume markings are raised glass numbers on the bottle's exterior, which can be challenging to read, especially in low light.

Should You Buy the Evenflo Vented + Glass?

Compared to other top-ranked baby bottles, the Evenflo Vented + Glass checks all the necessary boxes without adding complicated features. We appreciate that an affordable glass bottle is available for parents who want to prioritize health and environmental decisions but would also like to stay on budget. Although it is more fragile, we think this can be a great bottle that could last for years with a little extra caution.

What Other Baby Bottles Should You Consider?

If you want to stick with glass, but want a bottle made with borosilicate glass, consider the NUK Simply Natural Glass. The NUK has a wider nipple mound that babies tend to like. Otherwise, the Comotomo is a silicone baby that can offer more reliable durability and a more breast-like experience for babies.
