The Skinny

Among the competition for the best baby swings, the Ingenuity Comfort 2 Go Portable Swing is a convenient travel-friendly option. Still, it didn't impress us, especially as other products offer more functionality and features. It provides standard entertainment features like different speed settings and music to create a fun experience. It's also easy to assemble, which may appeal to parents who appreciate a straightforward setup. But that's about it. The product's quality leaves us wanting more. While it may be a short-term solution, we are not quick to recommend it to family and friends. With better-performing options in the lineup to help soothe and entertain your baby, we suggest looking elsewhere.

Performance Comparison

Quality

Overall, the quality of this product is lower than most contenders, and it didn't leave a lasting impression. Being a lightweight product, it does not offer the same level of stability as full-size products. Compared to its sibling, the Ingenuity Portable Swing, it's less stable.

The swing is relatively low to the ground, and parents may need to lean over or sit on the ground when loading and unloading their baby. One drawback is the seat's upright incline and limited recline positions. It also folds in a clam-like fashion. We prefer a recline position that's flatter for infants for optimal positioning.

Despite not having top-quality materials, we do appreciate the cloth covering the plastic buckle, which can help avoid accidentally pinching a baby's skin when buckling them in. However, the shoulder straps have no padding or material for added comfort.

Entertainment

The Ingenuity Comfort 2 Go Portable Swing is equipped with basic entertainment features to engage and amuse your baby. However, it's not a standout contender in this metric. It offers six swinging speeds, several melodies, and two recline positions. It does not feature any vibration or lights. The toy bar isn't the most entertaining and can easily pop off.

Portability

The Ingenuity Comfort 2 Go Portable Swing excels in this metric. It's lightweight and easily folds, making it advantageous for families with limited space or who want to store the swing when not in use. We experienced no problems toting it around from room to room in its folded-up state. It also runs on batteries, adding an extra layer of flexibility as you will not need to worry about finding an outlet or being restricted by cord length.

Assembly

Assembling the Ingenuity Comfort 2 Go Portable Swing is straightforward, and the user manual provides easy-to-follow instructions. We think it's a good choice for parents who prefer a straightforward setup process.

Should You Buy the Ingenuity Comfort 2 Go Portable Swing?

You get what you pay for with this product, and it doesn't offer the same level of quality and features. Some baby swing contenders provide more value for a similar price point or slightly higher. We suggest going in that direction.

What Other Baby Swings Should You Consider?

For parents seeking a baby swing with better stability, more recline positions, and improved quality, the 4moms MamaRoo Multi-Motion may fit your needs. However, the Graco Simple Sway Swing is a more economical option and performs better. If you're looking for a travel-friendly option, the Graco Slim Spaces or Ingenuity Portable Swing provide a little more than this contender.
