This recall involves the car seat adapter accessory compatible with the Thule Sleek Stroller and Chicco brand infant car seats. The adapter is a metal loop with two black plastic brackets that attach to the stroller. Only the adapter is part of this recall. A sticker on the adapters plastic bracket will include number 11000301. The UPC code is 091021188099.
Concern/Hazard
The plastic brackets on the car seat adapter can break, creating a potential fall hazard to passengers.
Confirmed Incidents
There have been three reports of the plastic brackets on the car seat adapters cracking or breaking during use, however, no injuries have been reported.
Remedy
Thule recommends that consumers stop using the adapter immediately. They should contact the company for information on a refund or replacement of the car seat adapter with a Thule Sleek Bassinet that works with the Thule Sleek Stroller.
